The inspiration
PB Woody was inspired by the great woodies of the past and luckily by one fantastic restoration of a 53' Buick that PT Bob and his crew did.

Actual 53 Buick
I found PT Bob while looking for a PT Cruiser Woody conversion. Some of his kits are DIY and since my wife and I had already built a 21' Wooden Tandem Kayak..I figured we could tackle some aftermarket woodie panels. So we headed up to San Bernardino, kids in tow and chatted it up with PT Bob. While we were set, just gotta buy the PT Cruiser, order his DIY kit and be done. And then it happened..I kept researching and one day I found his site had been updated with a restoration of a real woodie...I saw the car and said..thats it, we need our car to look like. Well, we had beein thinking of buying the Chevy HHR and so I knew the car lend itself to the 53' Buick look..I called PT Bob and he confirmed it. Two months later I bought the 2006 Black HHR at an end of model year red tag sell...and we drove it straight to Bob to start customizing. Check out the pictures on the Brand New page and see the final almost done shots on the PB Woody is done page then keep looking as you will find some more cool pictures and stories as the adventure unfolds.
